From multiple vineyard sites throughout the Wairau and Awatere Valleys in Marlborough, New Zealand. A mixture of soil types ranging from older glaciated outwash to free draining river gravels and silts. Vines pruned to 2, 3 and 4 canes and trained to a VSP (vertical shoot positioning) trellis.

Vinification

Grapes were crushed and destemmed prior to pressing and fermentation was induced by the introduction of carefully selected yeast strains. We fermented in stainless steel at cool temperatures to preserve the lifted aromatics in this wine.
