The Corners Vineyard Chardonnay 2020
Description
Aromas of golden stone fruit, baked lemon pie, vanilla custard, hazelnuts, and wet stone followed by a rich, round mouth feel and lingering acidity with hints of nectarine and apricot on the palate. A great food wine.

Vineyard
Our aim in the vineyard is to grow the best fruit we can so it can speak of its home and express its personality. To do this you need healthy vines and soil. By practicing organics and incorporating some biodynamic principles we believe we are doing our best to help achieve this and let our vineyards evolve and speak as they would like.

Vinification
In April 2020, this chardonnay was hand-picked then whole bunch pressed from our Roadside Block from Clones 15 and Mendoza. After settling the juice overnight, the juice was racked into a large oak cuvee tank, a concrete egg tank, and a variety French oak where an indigenous fermentation occurred. Extended aging on lees in large format seasoned French Oak builds complexity and extends aging potential. Racked after 10 months and lightly filtered before being bottled in February 2021.
